Heart-Centered Therapy (HCT) is a guided dialogue and imagery based approach to improving health, personal issues, resolving conflict within oneself, deepening the capacity to love, to find joy in ones life and to deeply embrace life.
The mind operates from a logical, linear and survival perspective. It lives in the past, the future and sometimes the present. Whereas the heart holds our truth and love, the mind thinks, reasons and navigates to keep us functional in the world. The heart is true, open and all knowing. We can learn much and different knowledge when we dialogue with the heart. Because of the heart-centered dialog, in HCT, the healing process is respectful and gentle. Traumas do not need to be relived for understanding and transformation to happen. HCT is direct and empowering to the participant. It can help with physical, emotional and spiritual intentions. Personal issues and conflicts come to resolution through love, acceptance, and transformation of the whole person. The healing goes beyond the individual, onto everyone involved in the issue. The process embraces the immediate family, the family lineage, and the collective consciousness.
Heart-Centered Therapy was developed by Alaya Chikly of the Chikly Health Institute.
